Christopher Mengel, Founder
Christopher Mengel has been launching and growing companies and helping other entrepreneurs do the same for the past twenty years. He manages day-to-day operations, of Razorwest.
Currently, Christopher is the Vice President of Marketing for Cross X Platform (CXP), where he is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to strengthen CXP's market leadership position. Christopher oversees brand and identity, marketing communications, Web marketing, and all CXP marketing related to accelerating demand for CXP portfolio companies.
Over the last 20 years, Christopher has worked with dozens of companies across 10 different industries. Much of his business expertise is centered on Marketing and Corporate Strategy, Sales and Business Development, Consumer Behavior and Customer Experience, and Talent Acquisition and Development and includes: building startups and emerging businesses, making departments and teams more effective, growing membership communities, increasing the value of opportunities and pipelines, expanding into new and untapped markets, creating innovative products and services, developing scalable business models and systems, serving and retaining the right customers, developing business learning curriculum, and recruiting and developing top talent.
Christopher has founded six businesses and has held a number of senior roles including:
- Vice President of Marketing and Founding Member for a Philadelphia-based holding company that incubates and builds professional services businesses.
- President and Founder, for a Washington DC-based strategic consulting firm that provided marketing consulting and recruiting services, and supplemental business learning.
- Vice President of Marketing for a enterprise content management software (CMS) company
- Vice President of Marketing for a publicly-traded software applications / eLearning firm that sold online training, content management and software platforms
- Vice President and Co-founder of an Internet start-up incubator and web design firm
- President and Co-founder, and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for a online local advertising search platform
- President and Founder of a Washington DC staffing and recruitment services firm that provided Management, Marketing, Sales and IT talent to middle-market firms and large corporations
Christopher counsels numerous executives and entrepreneurs, and sits on the advisory boards of a few local companies. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing and is passionate about lifelong learning, building businesses, and developing talent. He enjoys mentoring other executives and entrepreneurs as they deal with challenges related to their business, career, and their life. Christopher shares his time between Philadelphia, PA and Arlington, VA with his wife and two children.
