For wholesale lender and provider of business services with over $40 billion in assets, formed discussion sessions aimed at developing integrated strategies to realize the chairman's vision. The discussion sessions enabled the group to surface their conflicts in a safe arena.  Here they could defuse their conflicts and realize that the only road to success for any of them lay in the direction of working together for the good of all.  The conflicts, while not easy to manage, became the basis for succeeding.

Private School

For one of the most exclusive prep schools in the United States, helped prepare the school community against the threat of human pandemic influenza raised by the recurring avian influenza. An exploratory group of faculty and administrators was convened to determine the level of awareness at the school about the avian flu threat, the education needed to assess the threat presented to the school, and the appropriate response of the school to the threat. This exploratory group with some adjustments became a steering group, formed to guide the development of the FluPrep© program as a means by which to educate the community about the science and control of infectious disease, establish local, even personal responsibility for protection of the school community, develop community leadership for community protection, train effective non-professional responders to identify and respond effectively to potential incursions of disease, even prevent the introduction of potential sources into the community.

Fortune 500 Consumer Products Firm

For the largest pet-food maker in the world, developed a shadow operational structure alongside the existing structure and led the corporate team’s learning effort to research and understand its needs to integrate, downsize, refocus its marketing, reposition its brand and upgrade substantially its ability to develop and use a flexible production system with completely revamped distribution channels.  The shadow structure eventually became the new way of doing business. This effort resulted in the downsizing of the company from 14 production plants nationwide to eight, with new distribution theories and mechanisms.  The engagement positioned the company for significant shareholder value growth and the eventual profitable acquisition of the company.

Fortune 500 Food & Beverages Firm

For the largest food and beverage company in the world, developed a strategy for upgrading the plant based on educating the workforce in advance of the necessities for competing in the global market. The resulting goodwill and understanding of the workforce became the basis for a new and startling union contract that gave the necessary latitude to develop a nimble and capable workforce.
